While London is our core focus, our team has also shaken drinks and served memorable moments at events across the UK and around the world.

We believe great London events are about more than perfect canapés and crisp champagne, though we do those exceptionally well. Our role is to create seamless, stress free experiences, allowing you to enjoy the moment while we handle every detail. Using premium spirits, hand selected glassware, and meticulously sourced ingredients, our London catering and bar service turns every drink and dish into a performance of flavour, elegance, and occasion.

Our Story

Founded by Max Palfi and Harriet Palfi-May, The Event Broker began life in London as The Cocktail Broker, a mobile bar service delivering unforgettable cocktails for London weddings and private events. After years honing their craft in bars and restaurants across London, the UK, the US, and Europe, they built a business that combined skill, passion, and a sharp eye for hospitality.

As demand grew, the business expanded beyond bars into bespoke London catering, offering everything from refined canapés to indulgent dining experiences. Today, The Event Broker delivers a seamless, all-in-one hospitality service for London events, trusted by clients for weddings, corporate occasions, and private celebrations, while still supporting nationwide and international events when required.

Harriet Palfi-May

Co-Founder

Harriet honed her culinary and hospitality skills attending the Orchards Cookery school, spending a ski season in Les Deux Alps and graduating from Bournemouth University with a degree in International Hospitality Management. She went on to tour with The Rolling Stones and Cirque Du Soleil and has played an integral part of the team delivering first class artist catering at Glastonbury, Reading and many other well-known festivals. Having spent her whole life in and around events, Harriet is passionate about delivering great food and hospitality experiences for her clients. Harriet has been working for 5 years now and growing the catering side of the business.

Max Palfi

Co-Founder

Max has been working in hospitality for over twelve years and is owner and founder of the highly successful The Cocktail Broker. He loves nothing more than getting behind the bar, looking after his guests, and creating amazing cocktails. Lucky enough to have travelled the world honing his craft, Max has worked in some of the finest bars and restaurants that Cyprus, The Bahamas, Florida, Miami, West Palm Beach, Rhode Island and New York have to offer. His travels also included a stint on the Carnival Cruise Lines. Settling in England 8 years ago, Max is now injecting every ounce of his experience, skill and passion into every fabulously delicious cocktail he makes, ensuring that all his guests have an incredible time. From home deliveries to lavish garden parties, Max will tailor his service to meet your needs. He especially loves running corporate events.

Nora Sandor

Sales Manager

This is Nora our Sales Manager! Nora has been with The Cocktail Broker since it started as a friend, and has now been our Sales Manager for 3 years! Nora has alot of experience within the catering and hospitality industry working within restaurants and other event companies. Nora’s passion is ‘creating beautiful parties for lovely people.
